We are now seeking a self-motivated Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate is an organized, goal-oriented self-starter with proven sales rep experience. Existing relationships within the Columbia, Missouri, region’s retail, restaurant and wine communities are a plus as you will be managing an existing customer base and developing new accounts. Reporting to Director of Sales & Marketing, our Sales Representative will:
· Prior sales experience: Applicants must bring a minimum of 2+ years prior sales experience. Ideal sales experience is in the wine, beverage, restaurant or hospitality industry, however, a personal knowledge of wine coupled with generalized sales experience will be considered. Must have a demonstrated track record of increasing sales and responsibility for his/her customers.
· Familiarity with retail and or restaurant sales: Specific experience identifying, analyzing, opening and servicing restaurants and retailers would be attractive. An established account base among restaurants and retailers would also be a plus, but is not required.
· Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn the wine industry: Wine credentials (CSW) are a plus, but are not required. A willingness to undertake further study of wine to get credentials IS required.
