NCC is thrilled to announce its opportunity for an experienced and high-energy Vice President of Operations to drive all aspects of our manufacturing operations, including production, global outsourcing, shipping/receiving, inventory, quality, and maintenance. NCC’s strengths in custom design, engineering, manufacturing, and customer service will provide our VP Operations with a strong foundation to take production to the next level. This position will report directly to company ownership (CEO & President).



    1. EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP – Serve as a key member of NCC’s senior executive team. Partner closely with our CEO & President, CFO, VP Sales & Marketing, & VP Engineering) to set vision, determine direction, and implement strategy. Lead by example with irreproachable ethical standards and unparalleled customer service to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
    2. TEAM MANAGEMENT – Create a culture of accountability while providing oversight for 4-5 direct reports with an overall management responsibility for 250+ associates. Lead the supervision, training, management, retention, and discipline of all manufacturing operational associates in accordance with NCC policies and procedures.
    3. QUALITY & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT – Champion continuous improvement and lean activities to improve quality and efficiency and to increase capacity while lowering overall manufacturing cost. Lead effort to define new processes necessary to support quality improvement, operational improvement, and business growth.
    4. SAFETY & MAINTENANCE – Ensure compliance with safety rules and training. Promote a culture of safety awareness at all times. Implement and steer a robust preventative maintenance program to assure our equipment and facility is safe and reliable and available to meet our customer demand.
    5. P&L RESPONSIBILITY – Develop and manage annual budget for operating and capital expenses. Partner closely with CFO to ensure success of short- and long-term goals.
    6. CAPACITY PLANNING – Lead and adjust staffing resources and production planning to ensure we fulfill customer demands in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    7. SUPPLY CHAIN – Provide oversight for supply chain management. Ensure efficient and high-quality procurement efforts through domestic and international supply partners.
    8. PARTNER WITH NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & SALES – Develop a strong partnership with NCC’s engineering and sales teams to bring process management to new product development. Closely collaborate on the design and implementation of new products and the penetration of new markets.
    9. TOP-NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE – Demonstrate respect for clients, associates, vendors, and all company stakeholders, coupled with professional and ethical behavior at all times is expected. The customer must come first.



    • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive manufacturing and production senior leadership experience required. Ideal candidates bring knowledge of tube/sheet metal manufactured products along with the knowledge of the machinery and processes required to produce related products. Specific machinery includes laser, turret punch presses, tube and sheet bending, powder coating lines, hand and robotic welding of aluminum and steel metals.
    • Proven track record of success in creating and maintaining a culture of accountability in a variable volume, high-mix manufacturing setting and/or a job shop environment is strongly preferred.
    • Experience in implementing lean manufacturing, six sigma, and related process and continuous improvement techniques is highly desirable.
    • Experience with global outsourcing is also highly desirable.
    • Prior P&L and or budget management responsibility is mandatory.
    • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree (MBA, EMBA) is strongly preferred.
    • Strong computer skills including a proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills including forecasting ability, measuring the success of team members, monitoring team and individual goals, and sharing success factors with the team.
    • Prefer a business-minded person with proven success in general management assignments including P&L responsibility. Must have a value-added mindset.
    • Excellent personal organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and direct the flow of multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication skills, unquestionable character and background, and a real command presence are mandatory.
    • Must be able to keep a clear head in stressful situations and be able to work effectively with other departments in the company.
