    Senior Vice President of Floor Care Sales

    Now operating under experienced 3rd generation family leadership, Tacony and its Floor Care Division continue to provide top-notch products to its commercial, OEM, and retail sales partners.     Tacony is excited to announce its search for a Senior Vice President of Floor Care Sales (“SVP Floor Care Sales”). This key executive leadership position will focus on driving profitable growth, leading sales and influencing marketing to yield success across Tacony’s distribution partners, OEM, National Accounts and, retailer base. Our SVP Floor Care Sales will oversee team members in Saint Louis, Missouri; Fort Worth, Texas; Southampton, England; and beyond. Ideal candidates bring proven sales leadership, exceptional team management experience, strategic and growth mindset, an owner’s mentality, and, a passion for empowering both independent retailers and distribution partners in a competitive and ever-evolving Omni-Channel landscape.


    Reporting directly to Tacony’s CEO, the ideal candidate will:


    • MODEL ENTREPRENEURIAL & EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP – Serve as a key member Tacony’s Executive Leadership Team. Partner with CEO and leadership team on annual business planning, sales and marketing strategy, product development, operations, and the development of long-term goals to ensure growth for Tacony and its Floor Care Division.
    • INSPIRE HIGH-PERFORMING SALES TEAMS – Inspire sales teams and communicate strategic vision to Tacony’s commercial floor care and home floor care team members. Provide oversight and leadership for distribution partner sales, OEM accounts, national accounts, international division, inside sales, and customer service teams. Evaluate talent and implement best sales methodologies. Align sales organization to achieve strategic goals. Develop, recruit, and retain key players and foster a culture of accountability, set sales strategy, and implement solid processes to achieve growth. Measure performance and provide meaningful feedback.
    • DRIVE PROFITABILITY – Drive revenue growth, gross margins, and earnings for the Floor Care Division. Create, analyze, and communicate annual forecasts and sales reporting to executive leadership team. Lead the sales planning and forecasting effort for all Floor Care sales efforts to meet long-term goals for profitable sales.
    • ADVISE ON FLOORCARE MARKET – Serve as strategic advisor on the Floor Care product market trends and technology, to ensure Tacony has continued to be competitive. Ensure that the evolving needs of distributors, OEM partners, international customers, and national accounts are met. Keep abreast of changing competitive conditions and consult on new product development efforts.
    • FOSTER A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE – Foster a culture that yields excellence in customer service and ensure Tacony is cultivating relationships to drive consumer loyalty and increased revenue. Lead cross-functionally and partner with appropriate internal resources to meet consumer needs and customer satisfaction.


    • Minimum of 15+ years progressive sales experience, including prior leadership experience on an executive team, senior management team and/or as a GM of a business unit within larger organization.
    • Experience must include 5+ years in a sales management role with strategic oversight and day-to-day management responsibilities for international selling teams, regional teams, territory managers, and/or individual sales contributors.
    • Demonstrated success in managing national account relationships, including successful partnerships with big box retailers and other key/national accounts.
    • Experience with OEM accounts a plus.
    • Proven ability to master knowledge of various markets, to gain competitive research and to manage multiple sales channels. Prior involvement in new product development and related marketing initiatives a must-have.
    • Prior experience in CPG/retail/flooring/floor care/sanitation industries a strong plus.
    • Strong business and financial acumen, including prior P&L management experience.
    • 4-year degree required; MBA and/or related graduate degree strongly preferred.
    • Willingness to travel 50% plus. Travel includes monthly visits to Fort Worth, Texas; occasional international travel; and travel to industry trade shows, customer locations and facilities worldwide.

    • Personable, approachable, and visible leadership style coupled with a sense of humor!
    • Customer-service oriented with a high level of integrity and character.
    • Solid technology skills, including a proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Salesforce and PowerPoint.



    This position must be based in St. Louis, Missouri. Relocation expected upon hire and relocation assistance is available.
