    Due to continued growth, ACERTUS is now seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President & Corporate Controller (“VP & Corporate Controller”) to drive its accounting success and to strengthen its financial operations and internal controls through close collaboration with local and subsidiary leadership. The ideal candidate is ready to serve as a strategic partner to the CFO, brings expert-level knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting standards, and, offers proven leadership experience in high-growth and high-transaction environments. Strong communication skills coupled with a strong business acumen and the desire and know-how to help scale entrepreneurial organizations will yield success at ACERTUS!


    Reporting directly to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the VP & Corporate Controller will:

    • DEMONSTRATE ENTREPRENEURIAL EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP – Serve as a key leader within the ACERTUS Finance & Accounting Team. Partner closely with the CFO to set vision, determine direction and implement strategy. Interface with senior leadership to provide timely and pertinent financial analysis, business advice, and process design/improvement. Ensure that profit is maximized in a manner consistent with company culture. Add value through continuous cost and productivity improvement, providing recommendations as necessary. Update CFO on all material financial matters through proactive identification of potential issues and concerns.
    • PROVIDE FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP – Oversee accounting practices and deliver monthly close in compliance with US GAAP and adequate internal audit controls while providing oversight for A/R and A/P, general ledger functions, credit and collections, review of bank statements, preparation of financial statements, variance analysis and payroll. Own and manage the month-end close consolidation process. Ensure financial audit is completed successfully and without issue. Create a world-class financial controls organization. Communicate tax information to external tax partners. Track key performance metrics to optimize each business segment’s efficiency and profitability and assist with ad hoc requests at local level. Provide accurate and timely executive-level analysis and financial reports for presentation to senior leadership. Analyze cash flow requirements/projections. Develop and maintain positive relationships with outside service providers such as auditors, bankers, attorneys, insurance and investment brokers and vendors. Assure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
    • LEAD & INSPIRE A HIGH-PERFORMING TEAM – Provide leadership for four (4) direct reports, including subsidiary controllers and an A/P Manager, including a total team of 25 employees. Communicate expectations clearly and promote relationship building across corporate functions and within each line of service. Assess, recruit, develop, and retain talented team members who are well leveraged to support growth initiatives while serving as critical business partners and as available resources for ACERTUS colleagues. Foster a culture that promotes teamwork and grassroots problem solving and prevention, innovation, and change implementation.
    • SUPPORT ACERTUS GROWTH STRATEGY – Partner closely with ACERTUS CFO and leadership team on all organic and acquisition-based growth strategies to achieve budgetary targets and long-term growth milestones. Provide necessary cash flow analysis and financial modeling for potential investments.
    • CREATE A CULTURE OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT – Partner closely with Business Product Owners to optimize ERP solution and drive best practices. Improve monthly close through automation and improvement of internal controls. Hold staff and business partners accountable for delivering results while serving as a change agent. Continuously challenge team members to achieve greater performance by questioning the status quo. Coach colleagues to be analysts and thinkers who anticipate opportunities and implement ideas for improvement in a prudent and tactful manner.



    • 10-15+ years of progressive financial management experience, including a demonstrated track record of leading people and accounting strategies while building accountability and culture.
    • Ideal candidates offer expert-level knowledge of US GAAP and prior public accounting experience.
    • CPA strongly desired.
    • Familiarity with providing leadership, support, and strategy for a multi-site organization is a must.
    • Ability to proactively identify and implement process improvements essential; a demonstrated approach and methodology for continuous improvement ideal.
    • Strong technology skills, including experience with ERP solutions and all Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience with NetSuite ERP System and Cloud Accounting a plus.
    • 4-year degree in related field is required; advanced degree (MBA) a plus, but not required.
