    To further strategic goals, MTM is now seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO). This newly-created role will enhance MTM’s executive leadership team and serve as both a visionary and a transformational leader. Coupled with dynamic people and leadership skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and, a passion for innovation and continuous improvement, MTM’s future COO must bring proven experience developing strategies for nationwide operations. This position will lead a variety of operational departments including contact centers, logistics, quality & compliance, and, implementation, all operating under government and healthcare contracting. MTM's new COO must be savvy in leveraging technology to secure a seamless experience for MTM stakeholders, and confident engaging with our clients to uphold MTM’s place as a trusted partner and industry leader.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting directly to MTM’s CEO, the ideal candidate will:

    • Provide Visionary Executive Leadership: Partner closely with MTM’s CEO and Executive Leadership Team to align the operational strategy with MTM’s overall business goals. Lead by example with un-reproachable ethical standards, high integrity, and great enthusiasm. Collaborate cross-functionally to lead organization through transformational change, future acquisitions, and, new market entry. Participate in strategic planning and strive to improve bottom-line financial performance of the business. Establish credibility as an effective developer of operational solutions throughout the organization as well as with the Board. Manage a team of Vice Presidents and Regional Leadership with general oversight for a team of 900-1100 employees. Mentor and develop a collaborative and high performing team. Foster a culture of accountability with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Manage P&L and Lead Operations: Formulate and implement business plans, tactics and strategies to provide for the efficient, effective and compliant operations to meet short-term objectives/obligations and ensure long term growth and success. Gain an in-depth understanding of how contract verbiage and requirements should be applied to the operational processes of the company. Oversee budget and cost containment initiatives for all operational departments. Champion technology initiatives and design/implement new models to increase efficiency in the delivery of services.
    • Ensure Client & Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate exemplary customer service that sparks employee productivity and responsiveness to the needs of the current and prospective members, providers, and regulatory agencies/staff. Identify opportunities to increase member/passenger and transportation/medical provider satisfaction. Serve as an extension of the CEO, effectively interfacing with clients to address concerns and resolve issues. Provide internal recommendations for systematic internal controls and process changes to ensure preventative and ongoing compliance.
    • Drive Business Growth: Serve as a strategic and collaborative partner to the executive team to develop and implement the strategic business plan and to support new innovations. Work collaboratively with internal and external business partners to successfully acquire and execute profitably on new business opportunities.
    • Metrics: Develop and implement adequate measures to meet the operational needs of the company, to efficiently utilize its resources, and to maintain an effective system of operational processes and outcome measurement. Use data analytics, reporting tools and KPIs to maximize company performance and identify potential compliance deficiencies.
    • Ensure Quality & Compliance: Create new policies and amend existing policies to improve operations as needed. Provide recommendations for systematic internal controls and process changes to ensure preventative and ongoing compliance, mitigate risk, and facilitate future growth. Ensure programs are established to comply with all relevant federal, state and local regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 15+ years executive leadership and progressive operations management experience in a large organization ($500M+ in revenue) with oversight for 1000+ employees and P&L responsibility.
    • Healthcare experience (relevant to managed care, Medicaid, Medicare) and/or logistics and transportation experience (related to transit or logistics products or services) is a must.
    • 4-year college degree required; advanced degree (MBA, EMBA) is strongly preferred.
    • Experience with government contracting, implementation, and contract management oversight and compliance is also strongly desired.
    • M&A experience in assessing potential acquisition targets as well as in operations integration desired.
    • Proven experience implementing lean desired; lean and/or Six Sigma certification a plus.
    • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a large team in a fast-paced, changing environment.
    • Ability to interpret and analyze complex data and exercise initiative, sound judgment, problem-solving and decision-making.
    • Stellar communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships across the organization.
    • Ability to travel as needed.

    MTM’s COO position must be based in corporate headquarters in St Louis (Chesterfield), Missouri. Relocation assistance will be provided. Relocation would be expected upon hire.
