    Located in St. Louis, MO, with a second location in Highland, IL, Apollo Medical (or "Apollo") provides skilled nursing and therapy services to adult patients throughout the Greater St. Louis Area.     While Apollo has been in business for nearly 20 years, the agency has come under new ownership and is positioned for continued rapid growth. This has led to the need for a Clinical Director who will help drive operations on a daily basis to ensure Apollo meets its short- and long-term goals. The right candidate will oversee a clinical staff of 15-20 clinicians, including both nurses and therapists, and will play an active role in ensuring the agency is successful at meeting common quality programs (e.g. star ratings, PDGM, etc.). As a result of resent investments in technology, Apollo's clinical care team is equipped with the tools necessary to succeed in providing the best in class care for their valued patients.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting directly to the CEO, Apollo's Clinical Director will:

    • Provide Operational Leadership  Review the dashboard report to ensure the organization makes regular progress against its strategic goals and addresses issues raised through metrics. Act as a liaison between staff, patients, and the medical community to ensure information is shared appropriately among Apollo's team and stakeholders. Support the intake process to ensure that patient needs are met, and direct care is scheduled and provided per company policy and procedures.
    • Lead a High-Performing Team  Provide oversight and leadership for approximately 20 clinicians, including leading case conferences. Oversee all patient care services and personnel at the agency to include: coordinating referrals and patient care; assuring that patient needs are continually assessed; and assuring the development, implementation, and updates of each patient's individualized plan of care. Supervise all patient care activities to ensure the delivery of safe, economical, and efficient patient care that adheres to standard nursing and medical practices  including federal and state regulations — as well as to ensure compliance with payor source criteria.
    • Drive Process Improvement  Participate in the QAPI plans and processes. Ensure follow-up on any required action plans. Assure regularly scheduled continuing education for personnel, including in-services such as case conferences. Assist in policy review and revisions as requested to establish and support the highest possible quality of patient care, cost controls, quality assurance, and staff performance. Provide and oversee orientation for personnel and timely performance evaluations of personnel.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5+ years of post-acute care experience.
    • Strong knowledge in QAPI, PDGM, and other quality programs.
    • Strong team and personnel management skills, including onboarding of new personnel.
    • Current registered licensure as either a RN, PT, or OT in both Missouri and Illinois (preferred).
    • Strong computer skills including a proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
