    Due to continued growth, NCC is thrilled to announce its opportunity for an experienced, and high-energy Vice President of Operations to drive all aspects of our dynamic manufacturing operations, including production, global outsourcing, shipping/receiving, inventory, quality, and maintenance. Our entrepreneurial culture offers the right person an opportunity to be a leader in driving our future growth. Our strengths in custom design, engineering, manufacturing, and customer service will provide our VP Operations with a strong foundation to take production to the next level.


    Reporting directly to our President, NCC’s Vice President of Operations will:

    • Provide Entrepreneurial Leadership Partner closely with NCC’s President and senior leadership team (including our CFO, VP Sales & Marketing, VP Engineering, and our HR Director) to set and to implement a robust strategic vision and operational growth strategy, and, to drive the profitability of the company. Lead by example with un-reproachable ethical standards, unparalleled customer service, and great enthusiasm to deliver exceptional NCC customer experiences.
    • Lead a High-Performing Team – Provide oversight and inspirational leadership for four (4) direct reports with an overall management responsibility for 250+ associates. Oversee and actively participate in the ongoing recruitment, training, management and retention strategy for associates. Monitor the supervision, training, and discipline of all manufacturing operational associates in accordance with NCC policies and procedures. 
    • Drive Quality & Continued Process Improvement – Champion continuous improvement/lean activities such as Six Sigma to improve quality and efficiency and to increase capacity while lowering overall manufacturing cost. Lead effort to define new processes necessary to support quality improvement, operational improvement, and business growth. 
    • Enhance Supply Chain Execution – Support NCC’s supply chain management and global procurement. Ensure efficient and high-quality procurement efforts through domestic and international supply partners.
    • Ensure Operational Excellence, Preventative Maintenance, Safety, & Capacity Planning – Implement and steer a robust preventative maintenance program to assure our equipment is reliable and available to meet customer demand. Ensure compliance with safety rules and drive a culture of safety awareness. Monitor and adjust staffing resources and production planning to ensure customer demands are fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Maintain P&L Responsibility – Develop and manage an annual budget for operating and capital expenses. Partner closely with CFO to ensure success of short- and long-term growth plans.
    • Serve as Partner to New Product Development & Sales – Develop a strong partnership with NCC’s engineering and sales teams to bring process management to new product development. Closely collaborate with NCC’s Engineering and Sales Team on the design and implementation of new products and the penetration of new markets.
    • Champion Customer Service – Demostrate respect for clients, associates, vendors, and all company stakeholders, coupled with professional and ethical behavior at all times is expected. The customer must come first.


    • Minimum of 10-15+ years of progressive manufacturing and operational experience, including operations management experience with a full ERP/MRP environment. Variable volume, high mix job shop experience is strongly preferred given many new product and new process setups.
    • Strong knowledge in tube/sheet metal manufactured products and machinery and processes to produce related products. Specific machinery includes laser, turret punch presses, tube and sheet bending, powder coating lines, hand and robotic welding of aluminum and steel metals.
    • Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing, and other state of the art manufacturing techniques is highly desirable. Experience with global outsourcing is desirable.
    • Prior P&L responsibility required. Prior financial oversight and budget experience is mandatory.
    • Strong team management skills with a successful track record in attracting and retaining top talent and building a solid team.
    • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree (MBA, EMBA) is strongly preferred.
    • Strong computer skills including a proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

    • Prefer a business-minded person with proven success in general management assignments including P&L responsibility. Must have a value-added mindset.
    • Excellent personal organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and direct the flow of multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication skills, unquestionable character and background, and a real command presence are mandatory.
    • Must be able to keep a clear head in stressful situations and be able to work effectively with other departments in the company.

    Compensation Package:

    NCC is proud to offer a competitive compensation package for this position including a base salary with bonus based on annual goals. NCC offers an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life & AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Furthermore, we offer a robust 401K plan up to a 5% company match plus yearly profit sharing and vacation.
