    Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy & eCommerce

    To further strategic goals, Tacony seeks an experienced SVP of Digital Strategy & eCommerce. This newly-created role will enhance Tacony’s senior leadership team and serve as resident visionary and subject matter expert in all direct-to-consumer marketing and eCommerce matters. Coupled with dynamic people-skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for continuous improvement, Tacony’s future SVP of Digital Strategy & eCommerce must bring a proven background in consumer products, deep experience in digital marketing and related analytics, and prior eCommerce leadership experience.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting directly to Tacony's CEO, the ideal candidate will:

     

    • Provide Visionary Executive Leadership Partner closely with Tacony’s CEO to develop a compelling eCommerce growth strategy and omni-channel vision for all direct to consumer brands. Lead by example with un-reproachable ethical standards, high integrity, and great enthusiasm. Deliver exceptional unparalleled experiences for direct Tacony customers.
    • Drive Digital Sales & ProfitabilityImplement and drive compelling digital sales strategies to increase profitability and to ensure success of short- and long-term growth plans for all direct Tacony brands. Manage P&L and determine eCommerce growth targets. Evaluate ROI on new digital investments. Lead teams cross-functionally to achieve growth outcomes. 
    • Yield Success from AnalyticsImprove Google analytics tracking and integrate with internal ERP system to properly tag and track customer acquisition channels and to facilitate channel specific performance reporting. Utilize eCommerce analytics to report successes and challenges to internal stakeholders. Maximize SEO for all direct to consumer Tacony brands.
    • Disrupt the Market with Innovative BrandingEvaluate direct to consumer brand marketing and lead rebranding efforts to disrupt the market with creative digital strategies yielding increased brand awareness. Oversee consumer campaigns, inspire storytelling, protect Tacony brands, and maintain ultimate responsibility for all digital content development.
    • Manage Strategic eCommerce PartnershipsIdentify, secure, and manage all 3rd party digital resources and specific eCommerce partnerships. Serve as primary contact for all digital vendors and creative agencies. Track spend, approve invoices and evaluate ROI on outsourced digital expertise.
    • Inspire Team Members & Accountability – Promote Tacony’s culture by fostering an atmosphere of open communication and personal accountability. Identify, motivate, and develop high-performing team of direct reports; manage cross-functionally to achieve eCommerce goals. Grow existing bench strength and foster developmental opportunities for all eCommerce team members.
    • Serve Our Community Model our service philosophy through family-style leadership. Identify opportunities to give back and to strengthen the communities in which we work and serve.

     

     

    Location: 

    This position will be based in our corporate office in Fenton, Missouri. Relocation to the local and/or Metro-St. Louis area is required for this role. Relocation assistance provided.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 15+ years of progressive marketing and product branding leadership, including recent experience as a Vice President of Marketing or as a Director of eCommerce with a consumer products online retailer with at least $100MM in revenue.
    • Must have detailed knowledge of various ecommerce vendors and service providers with a preferred list of proven companies for various tasks (email, retargeting, social, PPC, SEO, etc.)
    • Must have experience with search engine marketing, search engine optimization, social media, pay per click, website design and content management.
    • Mastery of web analytics and research tools to drive decision making. Familiarity with web design tools (Photoshop, HTML).
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple internal resources, to provide inspirational leadership for direct reports and to manage third party vendors.
    • Must have extremely strong data analytical skills, ability to run queries and reports to analyze customer data and calculate metrics
    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, EMBA) strongly preferred.

    • Willingness to travel to industry trade shows, customer locations and Tacony facilities worldwide.

     

    Compensation Package:

Compensation for this position includes a base salary with bonus based on annual goals.
