    Position Description

    Delivery Driver & Inventory Assistant

    General Responsibilities:

    1. Safety and Professionalism: Always operate in a safe, ethical and professional manner.
    2. Delivery (Main Responsibility): Transport product to designated accounts in accordance with the manifest, delivery procedures and account specifics, always following the law when driving. Enter facilities at indicated checkpoints. Deliver product to an authorized person at each account. Be courteous and respectful. Obtain proper signature. Do not deliver product if the customer has a 30-day plus balance (see driver compliance policies.)
    3. Receiving: Help with removing pallets of wine from delivery trucks and staging/stocking appropriately.
    4. Pack Transfer: Pull orders in accordance with the KC manifest, stage those orders for inspection, pack pallet safely and in time for pickup window. Always utilize the temperature control wrap when applicable.
    5. Staging: Pull orders in accordance with the manifest, always checking that appropriate vintages are pulled (oldest first, when applicable). Help to track usage, breakage, returns, and sample bottles.
    6. Inventory: Assist Warehouse Manager with maintaining proper inventory. Double check vintages and always pull the oldest vintage available. Help take physical inventory, when needed.
    7. Merchandiser: Enter facilities at indicated checkpoints. Arrange and restock displays in accordance with company guidelines or account directions. Ensure the areas around the wine displays are clean and organized.
    8. Administration: Track all hours worked. Complete basic filing, cleaning and restocking needs.
    9. Maintenance: Assist Warehouse Manager in keeping van in top condition. Ensure all inspections, repairs and operating requirements are met.



    1. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills are a must.
    2. Versatile, flexible and willing to work enthusiastically within a constantly changing environment.
    3. This is a physically demanding job; must be able to life 40-lb case of wine for 8 hours per day.
    4. Professional demeanor, unflappable, safety conscious and pleasant.
    5. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record which is defined, but not limited to the following:
      • No suspended or revoked license within the past 24 months
      • No moving violations within the past 24 months.
      • No violations involving drugs, alcohol or controlled substances.
      • No tickets for reckless driving within the past 24 months.
      • Not being in an at-fault accident resulting in fatality or serious injury.
