Position Description

KC Delivery Driver & Inventory Assistant

Part-Time up to 20 hours per week

Trademark Wines is a boutique wine distributor headquartered in St. Louis with a satellite sales team in Kansas City, MO. We are growing at a rapid speed and are looking for a committeed and safe part-time local delivery drive to conduct deliveries in the Kansas City area on Wednesdays and Fridays, with potential to add more hours in the future.

The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, but places safety and courtesy at the heart of his/her work. This position would requiret the candidate to interface with the members of the Kansas City sales team, representatives at each account during deliveries, with the home team in St. Louis and would be reporting to the Business Manager. He/she will need to be able to lift 40-pound cases of wine for 8 hours per day, two times per week and handle other tactically and physically demanding tasks each day.

Trademark Wines requires that applicants are 21 years or older with clean driving records and who are ready to move some wine!



General Responsibilities:

  1. Safety and Professionalism – Always operate in a safe, ethical and professional manner.
  2. Receiving – Meet incoming transfer at dock (at Express 2000 located at 1720 N Jackson Ave, Kansas City, MO 64120) and load up merchandise from the pallet to the van for transport to rented cage.
  3. Staging – Review orders and combine orders sent from St. Louis warehouse with additional inventory from KC cage. Keep cage secured. Track usage, breakage, returns, and sample bottles.
  4. Inventory – Assist sales reps with maintaining proper inventory. Double check vintages and always pull the oldest vintage available. Help take physical inventory, when needed.
  5. Delivery – Pull wine to fill orders efficiently and accurately. Load van in accordance with company safety guidelines. Transport product to designated accounts, planning the route for max efficiency, always following the law when driving. Enter facilitates at indicated checkpoints. Deliver product to an authorized person at each account. Be courteous and resourceful. Obtain proper signature. Do not deliver product if the customer has a 30-day plus balance.
  6. Merchandiser – Enter facilities at indicated checkpoints. Arrange and restock displays in accordance with company guidelines or account directions. Ensure the areas around the wine displays are clean and organized.
  7. Administration – Track all hours worked. Complete basic filing, cleaning and restocking needs.
  8. Maintenance – Keep van in top condition. Ensure all inspections, repairs and operating requirements are met.

  2. Versatile, flexible, and willing to work enthusiastically within a constantly changing environment.
  3. This is a physically demanding job; must be able to lift 40-pound case of wine for 8 hours per day.
  4. Professional demeanor, unflappable, safety conscious and pleasant.
  5. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
