    We are now seeking a self-motivated Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate is an organized, goal-oriented self-starter with proven sales rep experience. Existing relationships within the St. Louis retail, restaurant and wine communities are a plus as you will be managing an existing customer base and developing new accounts. Reporting to Director of Sales & Marketing, our Sales Representative will:

    Responsibilities

    • GROW EXISTING ACCOUNTS: Cultivate a base of accounts that reliably and routinely consult with and purchase product from Trademark Wine. Maintain a set schedule of face-to-face account meetings to cultivate relationships with buyers and influencers deep within accounts. Serve as an educated expert on our portfolio and create raving fans with outstanding customer service.
    • IDENTIFY NEW ACCOUNTS: Initiate and build relationships with licensed restaurants and retailers to create new sales opportunities for Trademark Wines. Study and analyze opportunities in the marketplace, probe to understand customer needs and effectively position products in our portfolio to meet those needs and to generate return for our customers.
    • TRACK & REPORT SUCCESS: Maintain a pipeline of all accounts with vital sales information. Regularly report on calling activity including visits, orders, forecasts. Continuously seek out wine knowledge and intelligence regarding customers, products, and competitive industry trends. Share observations within company to further personal and team selling success.
    • BUILD OUR BRAND: Further promote Trademark Wines unique value proposition and product portfolio. Create marketing programs and utilize social media to raise awareness of our capabilities and product line. Arrange opportunities to engage in samplings, tastings and other merchandising efforts to support sales activities. Represent Trademark Wines in a professional, ethical and compliant manner at all times.

    Qualifications

    • Prior sales experience: Applicants must bring a minimum of 2+ years prior sales experience. Ideal sales experience is in the wine, beverage, restaurant or hospitality industry, however, a personal knowledge of wine coupled with generalized sales experience will be considered. Must have a demonstrated track record of increasing sales and responsibility for his/her customers.
    • Familiarity with retail and or restaurant sales: Specific experience identifying, analyzing, opening and servicing restaurants and retailers would be attractive. An established account base among restaurants and retailers would also be a plus but is not required.
    • Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn the wine industry: Wine credentials (CSW) are a plus but are not required. A willingness to undertake further study of wine to get credentials is required

    Other Skills & Abilities include:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills a must.
    • Versatile, flexible, and willing to work enthusiastically within a constantly changing environment.
    • Ability to lift 40 lbs./case of wine.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with a clear driving record and auto insurance.
