Now positioning for its next phase of growth, CLEMCO’s Board of Directors is seeking to recruit an experienced and entrepreneurial President (for Clemco Industries) & Chief Executive Officer (for Clemco Group of Companies). This transformational leader will bring proven experience in developing international manufacturing operations and leveraging global finance and sales strategies. Our ideal candidate is a people-centric leader with a demonstrated ability to champion the best attributes of our culture while balancing change and the innovation necessary to yield future growth.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, CLEMCO’s President & CEO will:
PROVIDE ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP (Vision, Strategy, & Executive Leadership): In partnership with members of the founding family, lead by example with un-reproachable ethical standards, highest integrity and great enthusiasm about the business, its people and its potential. Maintain a strong relationship with company ownership through joint strategy development, effective communication of results and close tactical partnership. Develop top leaders while building bench strength around the foundation and instill a hiring practice based on top grading. Convey a high degree of emotional intelligence by fostering an atmosphere of open communication and debate on key issues.
DRIVE PROFITABILITY & MANAGE RISK (P&L Responsibility and Revenue Growth): Develop and implement cohesive domestic and international strategies for growth. Oversee consolidation of domestic and international finance functions. Prepare annual operating budget for Board approval. Drive profitability to ensure short-term and long-term growth plans. Deliver year over year increases in EBITDA. Steward assets and maintain proper controls and reporting for proactive risk management. Evaluate and recommend capital expenditures to assure satisfactory ROI.
EXPAND MARKET SHARE (Sales Management, Marketing & e-Commerce): Assess the structure and effectiveness of the current sales and marketing organization and implement best practices to attract and retain top performers. Determine value proposition for each channel and spearhead ongoing research regarding target markets, competition and product offering. Analyze recommendations for building awareness including the trade show and convention strategy and execution. Identify opportunities to expand existing market share, including new business development opportunities in our domestic, international and e-commerce markets.
ENSURE OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE (Manufacturing Efficiencies and Supply Chain): Assess both domestic and international operations to ensure efficiency in asset utilization and provide oversight for best practices in manufacturing and inventory management. Drive company-wide lean initiatives to improve operational effectiveness as measured by quality, lead-time reduction and gross profit per employee. Optimize the use of the ERP system for internal production management and external customer portal. Ensure continuous improvement in customer service, safety, quality, and productivity.
ENHANCE ENGINEERING & PRODUCT INNOVATION (New Product Development): Understand markets and market drivers for key customers, distribution, and industry sources. Encourage transformation of new product requirement specifications into commercialized products that meet standards of quality, manufacturability, and cost objectives. Ensure continued stream of cutting-edge product ideas and engineering capabilities through new product development process to product release.

CLEMCO’s President & CEO position must be based in Washington, Missouri. Relocation to the Washington, Missouri, and/or Metro-St. Louis area is required. Relocation assistance will be provided.
The compensation for this position includes a base salary with bonus based on annual goals. Clemco offer an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) and company-paid Life & AD&D insurance as well as short-term and long-term disability.
