Due to continued growth, we are seeking an exceptional Territory Manager who brings a passion for industrial sales, proven distributor relations experience, and a high-level of innovation and ingenuity. Travel will exceed 50%, including travel to and from our North American operations headquartered in Washington, Missouri (near St. Louis).

Reporting to our Vice President of Sales, key responsibilities include:


  • DISTRIBUTOR RELATIONS: Establish and build strong trusted partner relationships with Clemco’s valued line of distributors. Train distributors on selling Clemco’s full product line. Provide marketing collateral and sales support while continually identify new sales opportunities and new product development ideas for distributors in the field.
  • KEY ACCOUNT PROSPECTING: Identify and prospect for new end-users who can benefit from Clemco’s product line. Build rapport and relationships that yield opportunities for sales presentations and product demonstrations. Engage internal and management resources in a competitively advantageous way to enhance the sales process. Develop strategic and tactical plans in conjunction with VP Sales to yield new customers.
  • TECHNICAL PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: Maintain exceptional technical knowledge of Clemco’s four (4) key product lines, including new-and-improved product developments and the success of their applications. Influence design specifications that translate into Clemco’s product portfolio and/or can be engineered by Clemco’s product design team.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Create raving fans in your distributor base by providing the most customer-oriented experience they have seen. Partner with internal customer service to ensure we are cultivating client relationships towards increased revenue and customer loyalty. Resolve issues by communicating and engaging appropriate internal resources.
  • SALES TECHNOLOGY & ADMINISTRATION: Track and manage sales activities through successful utilization of the CRM portion of Clemco’s Syteline system. Provide timely and informative monthly reports and itineraries to the VP Sales.



  • Minimum 5-7+ years progressive industrial sales experience, including heavy distributor relations and mastery of a technical product sale required.
  • Knowledge of product development processes also ideal.
  • 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
  • Willingness, ability and enthusiasm for travel in range of 50%+ year.
  • Excellent communications skills: presentation, public speaking, interpersonal, verbal and written. Must have confidence to express opinions and propose new ideas. Superior listening and probing skills are expected.
  • Customer-service oriented with a high level of integrity. Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical clients and colleagues.
  • Self-starter who is flexible, highly adaptable and able to work at a fast pace.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and distributors.
  • Strong planning, organizational and project management skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Strong software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Understanding of Management Information Systems, including CRMs essential.
